BOBY WINE’S WHEREABOUTS REMAIN UNKNOWN AFTER DRIVER WAS SHOT DEAD

Emerging political figure and Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu aka Bobi Wine’s whereabouts are yet to be established following the killing of his driver Yasin Kawuma Kawooya Monday evening.
At least 30 people, including MPs, journalists and members of the team campaigning for former Terego County MP Kassiano Wadri, a candidate in the byelection to replace slain Arua Municipality MP Ibrahim Abiriga, have been arrested and detained overnight, according to police.
Police claims that Yasin Kawuma Kawooya was shot by a stray bullet as security agencies tried to calm down Wadri and Bobi Wine supporters who had reportedly pelted stones at President Yoweri Museveni’s car.
Museveni, also the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) chairman, was in Arua to campaign for party candidate Nusura Tiperu ahead of election day on August 15.
West Nile Regional Police Commander Jonathan Musinguzi said police was unware of Bobi Wine’s whereabouts.
Bobi Wine’s social media manager said his family and management had lost touch with the MP.
The manager also confirmed the detention of some of Bobi Wine’s colleagues.
